Description:
A security issue has been reported in Tiger, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to perform certain actions with escalated privileges.

The security issue is caused due to the "genmsgidx" script handling temporary files in an insecure manner. This can be exploited via symlink attacks to modify or delete arbitrary files with the privileges of the user running the script.

NOTE: Reportedly, the script is only invoked when compiling the application.

The security issue is reported in version 3.2.2. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to version 3.2.3.
