Description: strawdog has discovered a vulnerability in Exodus, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to the application trusting arguments received via "im://", "pres://", and "xmpp://" URIs. This can be exploited to overwrite arbitrary files on the system by tricking a user into following a specially crafted e.g. "im://" URI.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

Solution: Do not browse untrusted websites or follow untrusted links.
Provided and/or discovered by: Reported by strawdog from Nine Situations Group as a data manipulation vulnerability.
