Description: A security issue has been reported in Dovecot ManageSieve, which can be exploited by malicious users to bypass certain security restrictions.
The security issue is caused due to an input validation error when processing script names. This can be exploited to read or modify arbitrary files having ".sieve" extensions via directory traversal attacks, with the privileges of the attacker's user id.
The security issue is reported in versions prior to Dovecot 1.2 ManageSieve 0.11.1, Dovecot 1.1 ManageSieve 0.10.4, and Dovecot 1.0.15 ManageSieve 9.4.
Solution: Update to Dovecot 1.2 ManageSieve 0.11.1, Dovecot 1.1 ManageSieve 0.10.4, or Dovecot 1.0.15 ManageSieve 9.4.
