Solutions for Journalists and Media

Secunia believe that vulnerability information should be freely available, allowing IT-professionals to stay informed about vulnerabilities and security issues in the products they use. Secunia issues vulnerability intelligence free of vendor ties and our aim is to be the best in the world in providing highly credible vulnerability intelligence to as many people as possible.

In order to achieve this goal, we encourage you to take advantage of the following offerings:
  • Special Vulnerability Announcement List: When important vulnerabilities are disclosed, the Secunia Research Team will issue bulletins to this list with the purpose of bringing public awareness to the issue. This will often include additional details not normally released to the public by Secunia, followed by a assessment by the Secunia Research Team for each issue highlighting its importance. Additionally, it immediately notifies about important vulnerabilities and provides direct contact with the Secunia Research Team for further details and comments.

  • Monthly reports: Every month hundreds of vulnerabilities are discovered in various applications, ranging from browser plug-ins to critical business software, small web applications to application servers, archiving utilities to large relational database applications. At times even commonly used firewalls and anti-virus solutions from the worlds largest vendors are affected by severe vulnerabilities. Secunia's Monthly Report gives you an opportunity to give you and your readers an insight into the emergence of vulnerabilities found every day, with detailed statistics for the past month as well as annual figures.

  • Continuous vulnerability intelligence to your website using RSS/XML feed: Receive a continuous, real-time flow of newly published advisories from Secunia in order to keep your audience updated on critical issues.

  • Press: Because Secunia is vendor independent and analyses and verifies every vulnerability report, Secunia very often has a different view on vulnerability issues than other sources and is willing to comment on issues related to vulnerabilities and threats posed by vulnerabilities.

  • Comments from Secunia: At the end of each month our research department will issue a statement about the highlights of the current month and comment on why these are of particular interest for our stakeholders.

  • Direct Press Contact: Selected journalists and media can get direct contact details to people within the Secunia Research Team for immediate comments and additional details - also outside normal business hours.

Should you be interested in any of the above offerings, please state your requirements, include your contact details, and submit your request to:
